My water testings have shown that my nitrates are a little high (40ppm) and was wondering if adding plants would help get this down. Can you think of any that would work? Plants I already have are 2 anubias on wood, an amazon sword, a potted plant ( dunno what kind ) and willow moss. They have to not have high light needs like the ones I have.
Thx,

Have got some stem plants in my tank besides anubia and java fern. Have 2 each of egeria densa and cabomba caroliniana. Had reduced my nitrates by using Aqua Detox for 28 hours (was 80ppm and tap water has 40ppm so water changes all but ineffective) Now 6 weeks later it is running at 10ppm and haven't needed to use the Aqua Detox again so the plants must be helping considerably as my tank is on the verge of being overstocked with platy fry. My light is the one that came with the tank so bog standard - 15w T8 in 15 gallon tank so 1w per gallon.
