can someone please help me ?

soon i will have a fully cycled tank, and its going to house 3 f8 puffers and maybe some bumble bee`s [ maybe]

my question is this...

what plants can i have ? i know my choices will be restricted by the salinity of the water but ive read i can have certain plants.

are there any helpful people that know what kinda plants im looking at ?

i can then go off and look into those plant types ?

thanks in advance

There is a good pinned topic on planting brackish water aquaria.

However, if you keep the salinity relatively low (SG 1.003 at 25 degrees C, fine for both species mentioned) then almost any plant that does well in hard, alkaline water should thrive, assuming other factors (substrate, lighting) are good. This would include things like Amazon swords, hardy Crypts such as C. wendtii, Anubias, Hygrophila, etc.

Cheers, Neale

if you maintain around SG1.003 the tiger lilly (Nymphaea lotus (zenkeri) is a beautiful midground plant that adds a contrasting colour to the usual green, it needs plenty of ferts and carbon though.
