Anyone had any experience with it? Mine doesnt seem to grow fast or well at all i have wisteria and thats growing like crazy but my water sprite doesnt seem to wanna pick up... Anyone got any tips you could give me? LOL

i dunno what spectrum my lights are all i know is i got 1 10000K, 1 powerglo and 1 life glo 2 all 48"

Personally my water sprite grows faster than my wisteria. My wisteria is green and healthy and growing but from what I've noticed water sprite grows faster, at least in my tank. From what I read about your bulbs they are all high sprectrum bulbs arouund 10,000K except the life glow 2 which I believe is 6700K. you plants may do better if you remove the 10K bulbs and replace them with bulbs around 5000 - 7100K color temp. I also thought bulbs around 10,000K and above promote algae growth for marine aquariums or something like that.

Sorry for being off topic but I love your tank Silly_me. Is that a flourite substrate?

Back on topic, I haven't had water sprite before. Everyone I talked to said it grew so fast, they spent all their time trimming and removing it.

aj86 just ask around on planted tank.net, they will tell u about the k rating, most people believe that u have to have betwween 5000k and 7000k, but it isnt ture
