Planted Vase Being Sold As Betta Tank

No..it's no good I'm logging in and saying something about that I can't stand it anymore.

Someone I know was telling me about a friend who kept her betta in a tiny wall mounted sconce thingy. She showed me the size, which was about 10 oz AT MOST! I guess it either did just fine or she kept replacing it with a new one whenever the one in there died.

it wont help, i bet you any amount of money! if anything the seller will want to put it up even more.

if you want to stop people buying it, buy one yourself and then leave negative feed back

I'm pretty sure you can't leave negative feedback ( that's visble) anymore can you?

I've reported it and messaged the seller anyway. They don't give much character space to say what the problem is do they? Good grief.

I messaged another seller telling the person that they should be ashamed of themselves. The listing said the water in the bowl only had to be changed once a month. I was looking for a place to complain to ebay to have listings like these pulled. Any way to do so?

On the right of the page, under the seller's name/shop name, scroll down a little and you should see 3 small icons - Share, print, and report item. Click report item and you'll get some options. Where it say's reason for report, I chose Fraudulent listing. Because it's the most accurate, and as far as I'm concerned since the bowl will NOT provide any sort of safe "happy" environment (as advertised) for any species of fish whatsoever, it is fraudulent.

Then under that, where it say's detailed reason, I wrote that it will not do the job it is sold for and will kill fish. You get very little character space so that's about all I could put.

I can't seem to find a proper address to email to for Ebay directly ( though I suspect if there were they'd be there until the sun burned out reading all the complaints!!!! )

Thanks. . .I'm still waiting for a reply from that seller that I wrote to (lol)!

I'll report a few listings, however, yep, probably nothing will be done. I've reported stuff before and the listings always end after the listings have been completed with winning bids.

My Cousin works for Ebay at the Head Office in the States, I will ask him where such reports should be sent to in the future.

Have emailed and should get a reply soonish.

That's great Gill.

Seriously, things like that should not be sold as fishtanks because they will never function for that purpose which is pretty much false advertising . They won't keep any fish alive for very long, certainly not happily or healthily, and promote basic cruelty and further the ignorance about keeping supposedly "easy/starter " fish.
