I'm using my ten gallon as a snail catcher cause I'm trying to keep snails out of my girlfriends 29. I put plants in and leave them for a month then redo the tank if there are no snails. I put all my extra plants in my gf's 29. So eventually she will have a well planted 29 gallon WITH NO SNAILS, (hopefully). If you guys can think of an easier way to do this then keep it to yourselves i'm having fun. No i'm kidding if you can think of an easier way it'd probably help alot because the plants wouldn't have to be moved so much. Well here goes I'm starting after I took out the plants for the first remodeling because I'm stupid and forgot to take pics even though the tank looked really cool.
This is with most of the old plants removed and the new plants floating waiting to be planted.
first picture of the replanted 10 (notice the broken anacharis on the right side next to the heater, oops) I put the lighter rock in there because A. there wasn't enough gravel to hold down the plants. B. I like the contrast of the light and dark rock. I know it'll mix eventually but I like it as is for now. C. I have a night light that cuts on whenever the main light cuts off and it looks REALLY good with the new gravel. Just have to cover it after I'm done admiring the night view.
notice the repaired anacharis (I just broke it the rest of the way and replanted both ends, maybe it'll live)

cfbs was upside down but I flipped it. He's a good hider so I had to do some acrobatics to get a shot of him at all, this was before the replanting so it's kinda dark, lillies took over the top for a while but I clipped um back.
Was trying to take a picture of the rarely seen cfbs but a wcmm got in the shot too.
Hope you like it. I could've been more structured grouping the plants together, placing tall plants in the back and short ones in the front. but I designed it more for the fishes enjoyment than mine and I think they like the jungle I've created.
So go ahead and give me your opinion. BTW (I know the CFBS can't stay in this tank. He'll get a bigger one in the future.)
