Got a little money for Christmas, so i,ve had a little spending spree and bought some plants, wood, gravel, fish and a solenoid..

I,ve added some Crinum Calamistratum, Crinum ? ? ? ? and some Ludwigia Arcuata behind the two pieces of wood and also attached a java fern to one.
I,ve put some Echinodorus Angustifolius and tenellus, to the front and side which i hope will create a slope from the hygrophilia to the right side.
I,m planing on taking out the vallis at a later date as the Echinodorus Angustifolius and tenellus grow and spread and will move the piece of wood with java moss to the back corner, in front of the diffuser

IMO its starting to looks like a half descent attempt at aquascaping, instead of plants just stuck in to grow.

I finally found some Harlquins (Rasbora Heteromorpha), i think they look fantastic in a planted tank, the problem was my lfs's seamed to have a runs on them everytime i went for some.
£4.60 for 6 compaired to £1.25 each, a bargin worth waiting for.

Here's the solenoid, i thought it was a good buy at £28.99 with p&p from ebay, aparently she still has a few more.

Any coments welcome

Simon.

Its beginning to come together nicely Simon, glad you stuck at it mate, i dont mind the vallis maybe just a bit less of it, not sure about the 2 pieces of wood one directly behind the other, although they look like good choices to me (The wood that is) overall it looks a lot better good choice of plants as well........Merry Christmas

I see a lot of potential in that tank! The right side will look fantastic once the plants get a little taller.

A solnoid for 28? Good find. What is the sellers name... I woudn't mind investigating!

Thanks for the comments

I was thinking i would cover the wood with java moss, let it grow around the fern, i,m also going to get rid of the Samolus Valepandi, as i thing it dosnt fit, i only put it there because i didnt want to waste it
What would be your suggestion zig
