I found this website by accident. It has plant kits that you can buy for your aquarium based on different habitats (brakish, West African, Discus, South American, Asian). The beauty thing about it, is you can either buy the kit, or you can use the list of plants in the kit and buy them yourself.

Not sure if anyone else thinks it's neat, but I DO! .......And I'm at work, so this is about as exciting as my day will get

Great find. If I wasn't as far along in my tank with plants I would have gone that route. I'm sure it will help many people... even if they dont get the packages, it's a good reference for the types of plants that will work in specific conditions.

While the plant list offered may be very useful, I would be very careful about buying from that site. I as well as a number of other plant nuts I know have had some poor experiences buying from them.

Good to know. I'm the kind of person who doesn't really like to wait for things to arrive by mail, so I thought that it was a great source of info. Esp. the substrate, lighting, CO2, and the plant list.

I have always thought of making a planted tank to resemble a particular area, but never really wanted to dig in deep to find what wopuld be good, and what would be readily available. This has everything in one place, and i could modify it as I saw fit.
