It seems like everyone wanted the plant swap thread just so that they could get their hands on some free plants. A lot of people were willing to offer plants, but only six people including myself have posted to offer plants. Where is everybody? Come on, it won't work unless you guys contribute

The only plant I have to offer is the only plant nobody wants. I don't think people will be beating down my door for Duckweed anytime soon. Otherwise, I would offer no questions asked. What I prune, I tend to replant.

I think lots of people who said they wanted to do that where 'i will in the future... when I have extra to get rid of.' it takes a while for plants to become over rtun in a tank. I only have one thing up there, and i really thought by now I would have 5 or 6 plants that I could send. It's funny how that works out.

I'm sure it will take time for people out there to remember its there as they are trimming. Thats the other thing... You almost have to not trim or prune at all until the item is taken... no point cutting leaves off a plant if you are waiting for a taker.

It's only been a week... give it time. ;)

I already gave my Christmas Moss to "Shrimply" before I could put it on the thread.
Nothing else at the moment (a bit of a rehaul undergoing) - but will hopefully have something (heathy) to share soon :)

Yeah thanks Bloozoo. I am really surprised at how much it has perked up. It is attatched on to a fake wood thing in one of my "play" tanks and looks like it has been there for ages.

Hopefully I will get some things on there soon. My java ferns are getting quite big.

Anyone want any java moss??? :D That's all I've got. And seeing as there are like 6 other posts on there, I really didn't see the need.

I have acctaully been trying to get hold of moss but most of the plants offered are in th USA also I have nothing to swap that is vegatation related.

I've got Java Moss to offer (US Only). It costs too darn much to send to the UK.

My only worry is the cold and plants getting frozen before they arrive.....also, the cost of shipping. Now, a plant swap is fine....my plant for yours....we each pay shipping for our own delivery. Fair is fair.

I don't really like PM's begging for plants with no offer for a trade or even to pay for the shipping.

Yers, its not a bad idea to wait till it gets a little warmer. The best time for trading will be in April, I guess it should really perk up then.
