I've noticed on my 5 gallon (with the 16 watt 5000k fluorescent bulb)tha my plants (water wisteria and staurogyne repens) have leaves that on the very tip curls downwards.Any ideas on what it is?

MG deficiency I think. Check on Rotalabutterfly.com/
If you don't dose anything, they might suffer from potassium, phosphate, and trace element deficiencies. Potassium levels in tap water are often very low, and Swords and Lilies and such can show this with deteriorating leaves (holes in leaves symptom).
I recommend these fertilizers, they cure practically every deficiency basically. And are just great fertilizers period http://nilocg.com/diy-ei-liquid-fertilizer/

I use Seachem flourish so I do dose.I will just give you a picture of the plants so you can tell me what deficiceny.

Ok here

See how it is kinda pale and has those dark spots?

Seachem flourish, isn't a good brand period. But is also expensive af, MG, Iron, calcium and probably other deficiency's that I just cant see.
I tell everyone on the forum about the fertz I use, like I told you the DIY estimative index dosing that I gave you the link to, everyone uses them, let me explain how it works. Btw it may sound like im making an advertisement here but; im not because I have no relation to the site other than I use their products.
In my tank I use their fertz (gave link to the EI fertz) and literally within' a week 1/2 the growth tripled, all my deficiency's went away (also had MG and iron, and calcium) and the plants currently do look as healthy as ever as you can see in my journal. Now I know your bound to look up "how to fix MG, iron and calcium deficiency's" and their are answers, that will cost money, flourish is a good line if you know how to properly dose and calculate your own regime with special needs and plants (mostly), but mostly you can spend up to 200$ on seachem flourish line in a year (do your own calculations to see), I really wish for you to try those NilocG fertilizers I linked you to.
Never got to explain how it works lol got caught up in the chit chatter!
it doses all the nutrients your plants need, micros, macros, and you dose them every other day, back and forth. so every day you dose either micros or macros, what this does is it puts fertilizers constantly into your water so your plants are overwhelmed (basically) with how much nutrients is in the water, all that extra nutrients in the water comes out later with a 50 percent WC every week(end).
I sincerely hope you take this advice, if you do try this and it doesn't work let the moderators ban me. its 20 bucks for like a year or 2 (idk your tank size)
Hope it works out for you
Nate

Man I would love to try it.If flourish costs that much and as from looking at it it looks like it will cost more than this thing you are talking about my tnk size is 5 gallons,But the stuff will probably be used for my 10 gallon and other 5 gallon so yeah.I would love to try it if you could give me some more info and explain to me how it works, how to use it and if all the nutrients I need are just in the micro and macro bag and possibly if you could even give me info on how to measure. One more thing,is it shrimp safe and snail safe?

Can I get refill packs easily? One more thing.Do I really need RO water cause if so that may be seller for me as I got no RO machine and can't afford one.

If flourish costs that much
with your tank sizes, it should last about a year, if not more.

if you could give me some more info and explain to me how it works
(idk if this will answer this question, if not describe more of watcha wanna know to me lol)
What you get- 2x 500ml dosing bottles(1x Micros, 1x Macros)
3 sets of fertilizers packets( so you are essentially getting enough to make 1500ml of both micros and macros)

It will be shipped without water, all you will need to do is add 500ml of RO water to each bottle. When the solution in each bottle runs out, simply add the refill packet to the appropriate dosing bottle and add 500ml of RO water and you are good to go again.

Dosing Instructions:
Add 5ml per 20 gallons of water for each the micro and macro 3x per week on alternating days per the EI dosing instructions.

How long will this last me??
20 Gallon tank- roughly 2 years
40 gallon tank- roughly 1 year
80 gallon tank- roughly 6 months
and so on...
if all the nutrients I need are just in the micro and macro bag
yep uh huh, all you need are in 2 separate bags (they give you like six, or they did me I got a refill (recommend) labeled micro then the other is labeled Macro. Just follow the instructions

if you could even give me info on how to measure
With this product you don't need to measure when your putting the macros and micros in the bottle, now in the tank, for a five gallon its 1.25 ML (milliliters) and you need a syringe for this, go to your local Walmart and go to the pharmacy desk, say "Hello, can I get a syringe please?" then they will most likely ask what for then just tell them for aquarium measuring stuff.
One more thing,is it shrimp safe and snail safe?
HECK YES
Can I get refill packs easily
uh huh, when you buy this you have the option to order a refill pack and its six bucks, highly recommend it will last you six years lmao.
One more thing.Do I really need RO water cause if so that may be seller for me as I got no RO machine and can't afford one.
no you can used distilled which at walmart costs 88 cents.

This thing really looks great from looking at it further I have come to notice that it looks like 20$ every two years.I think ya got me sold on it.
