Bought this plant today and i'm not quite sure what it is. Seems to have a different leaf amongst it to the rest?

The little bushy plant in front of the Elodea.

Thanks.

take it as a gift :) i had one similar... but then it was eaten by my apple snail...

dwarf sagittaria??

ps, the plant on the far left?? is that a Hygro or a non aquatic?

Is it really dwarf sag? I don't think it is, it's a stem of some sort... :/

Yeah it's Hygrophila on the left.

i'd go for some sort of Hygro if it has a stem...lets me get my plant dictionary out.

pps, you didn't get these on mail order did you?

Lol... No mate, they're from my LFS. I have rinsed them a few times anyway, but none of them have gone near my Shrimp tank. :good:

they're normally OK from an LFS as they are from the far east IE singapore.

and thats a Eichhornia diversifolia, quite rare IME. :good:

Cheers, will look into it a little more. The bottom half was purple and a bit mushy so I just used the top half.

Hmm... 3wpg? Seems like i have no chance, although i am dosing a complete fertiliser with nitrates and phosphates... I guess i can but try. EVen if it stays low but green i would be more than happy. Seems the odd shaped leaves are formed for floating on the surface when it gets tall.

Nice! :)

take the WPG thing with a pinch if salt...keep it in light rather than shaded and it will grow. :good:
