Plant Identification Please

could anyone please identify these plants for me. much obliged

The bottom one looks like a houseplant to me. Be careful of variegated plants, more often than not they're houseplants that die and rot in your tank. The top one looks like Acorus, a sort of pond marginal. Not sure how it will take to a life completely submerged, but you might be okay.

both plants were bought at lfs so i would have thought they were fine for the hobby

lfs's regulary lie to sell the plants, they will put in terriarium plants as aquatic. which looks like what the bottom one is.
