went to LFS today to get more plants due to my Vallis dying off. Bought this plant, she did tall me what it was, but i can't remember. Help?


the one in the middle

also, i did buy a Java fern (in the background), i have planted it in the sand, will the rizhome (sp) rot if i leave it like this?

the 1 in the middle is some kind of amazon sword and yes if the rhizome is under the sand it will just rot

it wasn't a sword, its a bulb formed plant. It does look a bit like a sword.

A crinum or aponogeton species. Both have bulbs. Hard to say without knowing the texture of the leaves. Aponogetons tend to have softer more flimsly leaves, while crinum species tend to be tougher-leaved.

Can't really tell much from the photo.

thanks llj, i found it, its Aponogeton ulvaceus. Its only been in 3 days now, with Easycarbo. Its doing really well!
