Here are pictures of my tank. I bought these as the "plant trio" and I don't think the tag said what they actually were, just put them in substrait. Got them at Petco.

Anyways, can you tell me what they are? I had a difficult time getting the roots to stay in the substrate. The main reason why the black is there is because I just poured the sand over the bits that were sticking out. So they are currently in a mix of larger green rocks and white and black aquarium stand.

If you think this is a bad setup for them can you let me know? It's the 3 plants in the front. If you can see the small ones in the back, they are fake.

Unfortunately for you these are none aquatic plants. They are infact terrestrial plants that do better ina pot on the window. They are a type of Dracaena, and will have to be removed as they will rot and pollute your tank. As said, put them in a pot on a window sill and they will be ok, but not submerged under water i'm afraid.

Doh! After seeing another thread with another person with non-aquatics I was like, "uh oh... I wonder if that is me too!" That is what I get for buying plants from Petco. :(

I have the yellow/green plant in the middle, in my aquarium and it is thriving!

Desdemona, any chance you can get a photo of the two on the right including roots?

How long have you had the Dracaena reflexa in your aquarium? I have seen them survive up to around 2 months before rotting.

About 4 and a half months :)

I can get some better photos tomorrow (I work till 11 pm tonight). The one with the thin branches and the one with the bamboo looking branch right? I am guessing the fat one is the Dracaena reflexa?
