Looks like banana plant to me, had some myself a while ago, just your roots seem to be a bit longer than what I had otherwise it appears to be the same genus.

Banana

Cool thanks mate. Glad it is then, looks great.

Did you have it planted? Some google links said it can be floated and grows flowers above water?

I have just switched to 2WPG so im happy now :) Yay.

Oops check out Nymphoides indica, same family.

check out below txt -

Nymphoides indica is also commonly know as the "Banana plant". It is quite an easy plant to keep and demands little except a moderately rich substrate to thrive.

Nymphoides indica is rarely found growing in the rivers of Manatee and Lee counties. It is native to tropical America but escaped from cultivation and blooms from summer to fall (Wunderlin, 2003).. It looks similar to the native banana lily, Nymphoides aquatica.

Hmm ill take a look at the links :) THanks alot mate.

Do you think its the native banana lily or banana plant?

Anyway of too look at the links i can find :)
