so im watching my shrimp tank, and i see this little animal walking through the rocks (just fed the shrimps) looking for food. at first i think its a bug... its long, looks almost like a flea at first...but actualy has a tail that curls under like a shrimp or crayfish. any ideas? its about half a cm long...maybe a cm. anybody know? good or bad? let it be??

Post in tropical dicussion more members going over there.
It could be a dragon fly.

maybe a gammaris or amphipod but without a pic it is pretty hard to say :)

i googled that amphipod and it is one of them....are these harmful?? leave it kill it??

Nope, not harmful to your shrimp, just little scavengers, eating decaying matter. They could eat baby shrimp, but I doubt that would be much a problem unless you have thousands of gammarus, and the adult shrimp and your fish are far more likely to eat baby shrimp (and the gammarus) anyway.
