right now i am currently breeding gouramis....i have an extra ten gallon tank to fill up with frys....im thinking of going with livebearers but i want to breed two different species at the same time...the tank is gonna be divided in half and i just need some ideas on what to breed....i also want to know if different types of swordtails can be mixed...if so i would like to know which ones can be mixed...so should i go wiht livebearers or try to get my midnight (zamora) catfish pair to breed? i would appreciate an asnwer...thank you

You're looking to breed in the 10 gallon? The only fish I'd put in there would be Platies, or Guppies. But if I'm understanding correctly, you want two different types on two different sides? Essentially 5 gallons per type? That's a very small size, and I personally wouldn't go bigger then a few Guppies or Endlers. Your best bet would be to have the parents on one side, about 3/4 of the tank and then the fry on the other. And you may get overrun with fry quickly, so I'd have an alternate place for them to go, such as a fish store or someone you can give them away to. :)

Any type of Swordtail can be mixed together. They won't fit in the size tank you're looking at though.
