Planning A 50 Litre Tank

I'm planning on getting a new fishtank. It needs to be smallish as it needs to fit in my room so I was thinking 50 litres tops.

I would really like some corydoras, I am thinking 6 or 8, would this be too many for such a small tank?
Also I am wondering what other fish I might be able to keep with these in such a small tank. I dont want to overstock.

I am planning on using sand for the substrate, and I will probably use a hang on filter.

if you wanted to have a larger school of corys you could look into getting some pygmy corydoras also if you want corys a sand substrate is a must!
i think most tetra species would work, providing they arent too large at adult size, or you could try some of the rasbora species

Depends on the dimensions. For Corys, I would want the tank to be at least 60 cm long, so 60*30*28 cm tank would tank take 10 dwarf Corys (I would not want to put larger Corys into anything that small at all!). Since that's really borderline with a "standard" 60 litre, 60 cm tank, then I'd just chose to go for one of those. The "water" area of the tank is usually about 60*30*30 cm and it's possible to get these tanks cheap (from Clearseal, for example) and in nice (like the Arc Tank from Arcadia), depending on your budget.
