Hi Friends, Am planning to keep 4 (1 male & 3 female) Honey Gouramis in my small 10 gallons tank with sand and plenty of plants. (No other fish). Any Dos and Don'ts from the experienced? Thanks & Bye

Mine are quite small still - maybe 3/4", but they are big time plant munchers. I didn't think they were supposed to be, but that would be my only comment. That and they're a lot of fun to watch.

I have a trio I've had for a year and half now. They are great. They love a lot of plants, prefer some that float too. Other than that, they are easy, IMO. Never had a problem with any of them. If you ever decide to add other fish with them (either in that tank or another one), they really don't like very active fish... seems to make them nervous. Fish like harlequin rasboras, cherry barbs, other small gouramis like sparkling gouramis - these all do fine with them.
Your male will make bubble nests and the dark blue/black stripe under his chin to his belly will really stand out when the setting is just right for them. That's an easy way to know things are how they like them.
HTH!
