Pl*co question

Exactly how often do you feed a 8-10inch common pl*co? I have been giving him a couple algea discs about every third day. A while ago now i was having some water quality issues,(planaria) and the first thing everyone asked me is am I over feeding. So I was just wondering how often everyone else feeds theirs.

When I had some large Plecs I feed one algae wafer a day with some sinking catfish pellets and then ever other day I would feed frozen bloodworms.

Im not really clear on what a wafer is. Is it the same as a disk?
