Piranhas

Has anybody seen piranhas lately ? Can you even get them anymore ? I had them on two different occasions years ago and I last saw one in a shop about 20 years ago. They're just a big tetra with specific dietary needs and they're actually kind of pretty in their own way.

Piranhas are illegal where I'm at. Most states made it illegal to possess or sell piranhas.

Legal to own them here in NJ but ive never seen them at the stores.

That's what I figured. Importers probably don't want the paperwork , insurance and liability hassles.

They are easy to find in Canada, but people want them large, and that makes them expensive.
