Piranha

Metynnis argenteus (Silver Dollars) are also considered vegetarians. I would say that this claim is probably untrue, as most will accept flake food, and the largest ingredient in that is typically fish. In the wild they may be considered more herbivorous, but in home aquaria, most american characins will take flake food or meat.

Most piranha are actually ominvores, even the reputed meat eaters. The misconception is that they only eat other fish.

Yup, there are not herbivorous Piranah species, only different, if related, species.

they will eat any meat including birds or humans or mammals in wild if they are that hungry which does happern in the dry season.
and will also have a nibble on nuts, fruit and anything else edable that may fall in the water.

When i say human i dont mean alla the movie piranha.

Actually, that is what I meant. They're ominvores, not carnivores or herbivores, which I think you mistook what I meant. :) They do eat fruit, nuts and occasionally plants, pretty much whatever appeals to them during whatever the season is. They won't eat humans unless we're dead (there are few confirmed reports of piranha attacks on live, able humans), and they don't eat most animals until they're dead or so close to death they pose no threat. Ironically, they're big chickens when it comes to eating anything still alive. It's a mistated fact they only eat meat and nothing else is what I was getting at.
