Ive basicly got to get rid of the fish tank so the currect occupant needs to go so i can clean it all out and get ready for a new home

he/she is about 3-4 years old great big chunky mo fo, you would need a big tank, we have a custom built 3 foot tank but its higher and wider than the norm

id say hes prob 10" long inc tail etc, few inches thick and prob 6 inch tall

also if someones after a tank we have our pine tank its about 5 yr old its more like a piece furniture as the base has two cupboads and couple draws, the lid is pine also so all nice and neat but i would like £50 for that considering i paid £500 for it new

to be honest its most important to find it a new home i really cant bring myself to kill it, i did ask a couple shops but they didnt want him, they just said put it to sleep, why the #### should i end its life through no fault of its own

it needs a home asap located way down south near the little island were all the weird people come from

pls email me on ljapples24@hotmail.com

you will need to collect and supply your own container to put the little beastie in

it wasn't that obvious trust me

what measurements is the tank as i might be interested init depending on measurements - smallish space in kitchen

just to clear a few things up, for the OP you need to state what size tank he will need for when he is fully grown as ive heard of phiranas getting bigger than this

i think hes prob fully grown to be honest, hasnt got any bigger, ive only got a short time left to get rid of the poor little homeless thing, two weeks tops, im affraid if it cant find a home i will be asking my local fish shop to put it to sleep

why kill it!? put adverts everywhere, your local shop etc, put one in the paper and one on aquarists calssified, ebay, i would pay for this thing to be rehomed safley if he was mine. red bellied pacus need a BIG tank... your looking at 175 gallon +

Perhaps you could contact a nearby public aquarium to see if they will take him off your hands.

A common tactic, don't try to push people into taking it, you're a horrible person. A lot of local pet stores will be willing to take it off your hands if they have spare tanks, or public aquariums as stated by Nosoup4you.

thanks mate nice to call me that, considering over the last month or so i have called mabe 10 fish shops, spoke to someone who breeds them, put general word of mouth out etc, no one wants it i cant get rid, what the hell do i do.

cant be bothered no more especially to come on here ask advice to try get rid of the little blighter and get ridiculed.

if you cant be bothered to find him a decent home then i suggest you find another hobby, if he was mine i would pay someone to take him so he isnt killed.

have you rang the aquarium? put adverts in the paper? or on ebay?

go to a DECENT LFS that have big display tanks and ask them.

as i say ibve tried atleast 10 places in the local yellow pages, aquariums are a big no no as i asked when i went to one about 4 months ago, we have had this fish a couple years or so and it has been on the cards for a while to get rid.

i thought putting a post up on a website like this would be about as good as it gets for advertising, atleast it would of gone to someone who will look after him / her properly.

im not putting it on ebay etc all ill get is dickhead kids wanting it, i could of given it away a few weeks ago but it was a 17 yr old kid who was just asking the simplest of questions about how to set a tank up etc so i declined. dont get me wrong its easy to look after but i feel its much better suited to someone who wants one with experiance rather than some wanna ba gangster idiot kid who likes the idea of having one, bit like the chavs with the staffys.

ring the aquarium again! 4 months ago was ages, ring your local newspaper and put an advert in, go to your local village shope etc and put an advert in there!

ebay is not full of ####heads you meet the person half way with a fish as big as that
