I've found various answers on google but want to know from experienced people. I have 2 RBP which I'm wanting to reunite in a 50 gallon but one is more dominant than the other. Is there anything they can live with so the dominant doesn't attack the weaker, OR can I put another RBP thats the same size in the tank with them?
Thanks for any info (P.S they are about 6 inches long and have been seperated for about 4 months)

I would get at least a 75g tank and then add a 3rd rbp within an inch of the largest rbp. Nothing is guaranteed but it's worth a try. 50g is just too small tho and you will most likely end up with 1 rbp in time.

How old are they and have they always been with other fish other than these 4 months? 6" piranha should be about 6-7 months old but I don't want to make assumptions on age.

You can take all rocks/plants or anything else out of the tank that could be considered a territory marker in the beginning, this will help greatly. Also, make sure the gravel/sand is flat. They'll even use a higher mound of gravel as a territory marker. Same with heaters and anything else that hangs down the back but you won't be able to help that much.

Basic rule is 50ukg for 1st pygo then 20ukgs for each additional one.
Another basic rule is minimum of 4 as otherwise you end up with the problem you have had.
As for putting them back together, you will get continued bullying till you up the numbers to at least 4.

Basic minimum for all Pygos is 3. Whether it be one species or a mixture of species.

I know you know your stuff and will rebutt but 3 is definitely the minimum, not 4.
