It could be something to do with your plastic decor.?

Is any of your decor red or something that could dye your water pink?

Hi neil82 :)

What are you feeding your fish? I've seen flake food that contained a lot of salmon color the water slightly. This particular food was made by Ocean Nutrition.

in the breeding tank iv only been feeding cultures and the odd bit of ground tetrafin flake.

no Colored gravel if it doesnt go now ive taken out the plastic stuff it most have somthing to do with the tap water!

I really don't see how it could be the tap water though? I mean if you use dechlor before adding the water to the tank, then the water, or the properties that make it up/trace chemicals within the water should not react to anything in you aquarium to change the color of the water?

I could be wrong, buy it just seem a little strange for tap water to do that?
