Pink Lump

one of my chiclids has a pink/redish mass coming out of his butt
its a yellow ceribum(hope i spelt that right)
and the lump is the size of a pea
been there for 3 days so far

It could be a number of things like a prolapse. Does it look like parasites like worms.

Does the fish look skinny or bloated.
What does it look like when the fish goes to the toilet.
Is the tummy area sunken in.
Is the anus enlarged or red and inflamed.
Seen any worms prutruding from the anus.

It looks like a prolapse to me. it can be caused by constipation, bacterial, internal parasites, other factors.

There not much you can do unless you find the cause.
Sometimes if can retract back in. But sometimes the fish dosn't make it.

Can you issolate the fish.
If not keep a close eye on the fish.

What do you normally feed your fish?

chiclid pellets, and sometimes blood worm.

I would research the fish diet needs, as to many dried foods can lead to constipation.
More variety in frozen foods,
Do a search to see if they eat veg.

well hes still going
doesnt seem to be stressed by it.eating ok and going about his buisness as usual

If not he won't be able to go to the toilet.

I would issolate and use a bacterial med.
Have you fed the fish some shelled peas.

hes in a seperate tank at the mo,i shall get some peas tommorow
