Good evening everyone today I bought a Pink kissing Gourami can someone please help me identify if its a male or female? It was the last one. Thank you so much for any help guys! I attached a picture below and can take more if a better one is needed

Thank you Colin do they change as they get older or something? I have it in my 50 gallon tank with about 18 other around the same size and this is my first time owning this breed of fish I’m nervous to do something wrong it was a birthday gift for my birthday coming up and it just hides When someone goes by the tank. I know nothing about these guys unfortunately

Unfortunately the fish is not suitable for your tank, they need a really big tank to house them long term.

Agree, please read the link essjay posted. This fish not only gets large, it becomes aggressive.

I have 4 tanks all together I have a 29 gallon , 2- 50 gallon tanks and a 100 gallon tank. The fish will be moving into my 100 gallon tank that has no fish right now because I moved them to my other 50 gallon tank since there wasn’t many in there so that 1 could have the bigger tank with nobody else to bother it

It was only in my 50 gallon temporary less then 24 hours until I moved the other fish. I did some research on them but just didn’t understand the sexing part

lol yeah it was the only place I had to put the fish for the time being but now it’s as happy as can be in the 100 gallon all by itself

Should I leave it by itself I don’t want to feel like it’s going to get lonely but if it will do fine I’m more then happy to let it have the entire tank
