No, adding a kissing gourami is absolutely the worst thing you can do for your fish. If you have any desire to keep them healthy and save yourself daily water changes, leave your tank alone. Not only is your tank already overstocked, but the addition of a fish of that size (even a medium-sized juvenile ) will trigger a mini cycle which can cause catastrophe to the biological filter in your tank, which will more than likely bring about the death of one or more of your fish.

Consider this: if you added a kissing gourami to your current set-up, you would be housing five (count 'em) fish that have the potential to grow to 12", not to mention a catfish that will top two feet and a host of other small- and medium-sized gouramis in a tiny 60 gallon aquarium. If you harbor any respect for these fish, do not add any more.

I couldn't agree more with what alabaster has written. I have a 55 gallon (only 5 gallons less than yours) set up and I tried last night to imagine all the fish you have in yours in mine and I just couldn't do it. Your tank is overstocked :/

In my 55 gallon I have
4 pearl gouramis
8 diamond tetras
and a pair of blue rams

I'm thinking of adding either maybe 4 rainbow fish or maybe a couple siamese algae eaters but that would be it. I would consider and many other members on the forum would agree that my tank would then be fully stocked.

You cannot add any more fish to your current set up. You need to think about what others have said to you on this forum. Almost all of us have said to you do not add anything else to your 60 gallon tank but you keep posting the same questions.

If you want a BGK or a Pink kissing gourami you need to set up a couple more big tanks. If you care about your fish you'll listen to us
