Pictus Catfish Or Yoyo Loaches

Ok so here is my question,

my tank is currently cycling as we speak, it is a 140 litre 37 Gallon, and I have been researching what fish I want to get,

I decided i wanted

2 bristlenose catfish,
about 8 zebra danios
4 yoyo loaches
and maby 2 cichlids like cuckatoo or keyhole

but today on my way to work, i went into the pet store (which i usually dont because they are overpriced and have no idea about anything,but i needed de-chlorinator pretty bad) and came across Pictus Catfish that were a bit pricey but the store is overpriced my LFS would be cheaper, and literally decided i wanted one (or 4) in my tank. So i came down to removing either the yoyo loaches from my list or not having the pictus

so my question is, which fish is better?

any advice would be appreciated

Hi, Pictus should be kept in a group, get fairly big, and are incredibly active when young making them IMO unsuitable for your 140L setup,

Yoyos are more suitable even though they themselves are incredibly active and can get to similar sizes, Ultimately if you can find dwarf chain loach or botia kubotai then these would be more ideal as they grow to a smaller overall size which would allow you to up the numbers to 6 which would boost their confidence and presence in your setup.

I was kind of hoping that wasnt going to be the answer

but i would rather have happy active fish over shy uncomfortable ones,

I love the look of the Botia Kubotai but knowing my luck i will never find any in australia.
