Pictus Cat Help!

I moved my 55gallon Tank into another room today, and wanted to move my Pictus Cat into the tank as it's much bigger for him than the tank he was in.

However...

One of his barbs has caught the net, I coudn't get him off it without hurting him, so I cut the net as small as I could around the barb, he's now swimming about as normal (doens't seem at all stressed) but with a little bit of blue net on his barb...

Do I leave it and hope it falls off eventually? or will I have to catch him again and try remove it.

I would remove the net as it could cut into his skin causing an infection.
