new betta set up

I really like the set up I wanted to do something like that in mine. What size tank is that in the last picture?

it's a ten gallon (US) with dividers i bought at petco :) it'll look nicer when i top it off, but there's no hood at the moment so i'm keeping the water a bit low

Thats what mine is. I really like it :good: . Just curious I saw what looks like a filter and a heater in the back. Does the filter transfer to all three of the columns? and does the heater heat all of the columns? What kind of dividers are they? like mesh, plastic, etc.

well, the dividers are plastic mesh, so the water is flowing through and the filter and heater are working on all three sections, but of course they only work best for the fish who's section they're in. The filter's just to watch the water quality so that i don't have to do drastic water changes (the tank was filled with water from a cycled tank and has a filter that was running on the cycled one for about a month :D ). Since i watch exactly what the bettas eat i'm not worried about extra food floating around ('cept for the algae wafer bits for th ghost shrimp). Now when I want to do a water change I siphon the gunk off the bottom (bare) and then can remove the normal 25-30% that i do with my other tanks.

it's much simpler than the 100% changes I was doing on three 2.5g tanks, and less stress for the fish because they don't have to be handled or removed from their homes. plus it's more space per fish, to. almost a whole gallon more

to be fair, it'll probably be cheaper to do Joby's DIY in ~bella~'s "Dividing My Tank" thread I just happened to be in the pet store at the time, not a walmart or craft store ;)
