This is a 21.6 litre hexagon tank. It's cycling at the mo. I wanted a tree in the middle and bought this one on ebay not realising how large it was. I think it looks good but do you think it takes up too much room? I plan to have one male betta in there plus 3 little albino cories.

Oh and the water level will be higher once I've stopped fiddling around with it lol.

The tree was positioned at the front, I've now moved it too the middle

I honestly can't tell if thats a live or fake plant........

But for just 4? No, I think that should be fine. Put the betta in last of course (after the corys).

Wait for more advice before you do it though! I'm just one person =P

Thanks, it's good you can't tell if it's real or fake :) It's totally fake.

Cory's would be too active for a tank of this size and foot print in my opinion, I'd also go for live plants instead of the plastic, but that's just my opinion.

A lone Betta would be fine.

Maybe she could try 3 Endlers Livebearers?

Theyre tiny, and they come in the most amazing colours. I've got 2 swimming alongside my Betta right now =D

Ah fair enough. At any rate, the betta will fit fine in the tank. I'm just trying to suggest small yet colorful fish to get the most out of your tank =)

Im no expert, but from the reading i have done to date i think a betta would be fine in there, would have plenty of hiding places in the plant i imagine.

The endlers are a good suggestion, I'm gonna look at them too though.

It looks good. I'm glad I could help.

What colour betta are you getting?

Kat

I agree about the cories. Since the tank is taller than it is wide, some endlers may be a better suggestion. Maybe four or five? They really are only tiny!
Also, live plants can just help keep the water paras in good shape, even if you just put in a couple of bunches at the back :good:
