not allowed to see the pic, try attaching it to your post instead of linking to it

guppies should be pregnant 28 days, sometimes more if water quality deteriorates or stress occurs. I've seen guppies give birth up to a week late in my short guppy breeding experience.

Don't worry about it. Once your first batch of fry arrive, they won't stop coming. I have a 50 gallon with over 100 fry in there. We're getting 1$ for females and 1.50$ for males from the lfs :) We have 5 or 6 breeding females now!!!

she definitely looks pregnant, but i have seen them get even bigger than that before giving birth, so maybe just a little more time!

ok Thank you for your help!

Know i have one more female that has to be diagnosed!

Please help me!

Ok go to this link and please look at the pictures of my guppy.

Please tell me if she is pregnant, and when i can expect to see some babies!

This would help me out alot because I am so inexperienced!

Thank you very much for your time!

it's hard to say when a guppy will give birth unless you know when she got pregnant.

Only time will tell I guess. Usually though, thei skin is streched out to the max when they're ready to tive birth., and they won't eat on that day.

Then again, some will still look small when they're giving birth and they will eat too

my girlfriend would drop in food when her last female gave birth to distract the other guppies, in hopes of saving the babies. The feamle that was giving birth would give birth, go eat, then give birth again and go eat. I thought that was strange but fish are strange creatures...

A somewhat easy way to tell if you female livebearer is preggo is the gravid spot. You see that really dark spot on her abdomen? Thats the gravid spot, and it is actually the frys eyes inside her. Its almost 100% proff positive, as nothing else really creates that spot. As for giving birth, my platie is like a little finned marble in her middle and she still hasnt given birth. It may be different for all fish, but generally they get quite large before they give birth. Hope this helps :D
