My betta seems to have settled in rather quick. Has been swimming around today exploring, eat some bloodworm and has been enjoying sitting in the plants and on top of the filter lol

Anyway here are a few snap I took on my phone.

Please excuse the wires behind, Im getting a background on soon :good:

lol I think we are just all very lazy right now! Nice betta :p You might wanna add another plant or two though, they really like having a few plants to sit on and swim through. :)

Lol thanks guys.

Yeah tibby Im hoping to get at least another plant to hide the filter.

What filter is it? its just when you say he's hanging out on top of the filter it might be because the flow is too high?

hmm...i would add a hidey hole thing in the corner- it looks like he cant get under those larger rocks, right? I find my guys more comfortable with places to hide. Another plant will help, but maybe a coconut thing? ^_^

Its not a well known make, just one that came with it. I did think about the flow so Ive turned the outlet to face towards the side of the tank and put the optional spraybar on to minimise current

It does look like he cant but he actually does  Hes swam under it a few times but im considering making it more accessable for him, what you think?

ok cool just checking! sounds like you have it sorted :good:

All my Bettas were 'lazy' for the first few days. they are simply adjusting to their new situation. he should perk up by the wend of the week.

A few more plants, as you are planning, will help him a lot :good:

Ah thats good then, I was starting to wonder if it was ok

Im planning to move the slate pieces around to make a little cave for a hidey hole for him aswell.

Nice tank, and a very pretty betta.
I hope you have better luck with the large river rocks than I did - I had some in with (gravel-capped, earth-potted) plants and found they trapped too much stuff to maintain decent water quality, although many others seem to manage just fine...
But yours are bigger, (look nice, by the way) so hopefully won't have the same issues.

So why was he still pouting, lol?

Thanks for the comments :)

Yeah they do trap alot of stuff (got them in tank downstairs) so Ive only them in sparingly (spelling?) so i can easily take them out when I clean the tank.

lol Once the camera was on him he wanted to show off ;) can be a right stuborn thing, hes sulking at the moment because Ive moved his tank around
