I dont think being albino keeps them from growing at maximum rate - perhaps it is your worms that's allowing them to grow faster.samthefishman said:wow. It seems mine are growing faster then yours.
Is that because they are albino? is there a reason?
I feed mine algea wafers and blood worms when they are being good.
I will post some of mine
How quick they grow depends on the size tank they are in....i have 2 of my fry in the 75gal that I can allready tell the sex of (male and female).....the others in the 30gal are getting close to being able to tell.....those in the 6gall are tiny (I am going to be moving them to the 75 this weekend for their growth)....yhbae said:I dont think being albino keeps them from growing at maximum rate - perhaps it is your worms that's allowing them to grow faster.samthefishman said:wow. I will be setting up the 2nd tank for larger fries during this weekend, and will start to feed blood worms to them. Hopefully that will make some difference as well...
Also, I suspect that having 50 fries in the same tiny 5.5g tank isn't helping either...![]()
...my fry are in a 4 Gal, i guess that rules what you just said outChooklet said:How quick they grow depends on the size tank they are in....i have 2 of my fry in the 75gal that I can allready tell the sex of (male and female).....the others in the 30gal are getting close to being able to tell.....those in the 6gall are tiny (I am going to be moving them to the 75 this weekend for their growth)....yhbae said:I dont think being albino keeps them from growing at maximum rate - perhaps it is your worms that's allowing them to grow faster.samthefishman said:wow. Gorgeous babies by the way!!!
That was my conclusion too - at least when they are really small. I think the key thing there is that they cannot find food all the time due to tank size.samthefishman said:yhbae, i have found that in a bigger tank they dont grow as fast.
As food in more scarce, but if you had them in a tank of their own it would be good.
