I have two favorites. My favorite betta that I have now is Hawaii. He's my old man.

Back in the day:

My other favorite is the first betta I ever had, Teenage Mutant Ninja Betta, aka Ninja. He pulled through some really serious fin rot (you can see where regrowth started) and fungus.

My favorite was Rubicon. He was a veiltail and his fins had a certain "fullness" to it. He died January 2004. If I started all over again, I would have just placed him in an empty 1g bowl with no filter and be really anal with anything that had a chance to ruin his finnage. I'd just do 100% water changes every week.
