Thats a topic that is discussed over and over again. Most all the websites say 4", but The Wolf has some that are 8" So I dont know either way. Mine are very small right now (1.5") and I have plans for a bigger tank to put them in once they out grow thier current home, which could be a while...

EDIT: Actually, the biggest one in the first picture might be closer to 2", it is actually the leader of the school, the other 3 just follow it around. Its fun to watch

Lovely looking yo-yo loaches. I love the cheeky chappies. My two hide up most of the time then have a mad few minutes dashing round the tank and annoying their tank mates.

Your loaches are awsome. I love them Will they get alone ok with the kuilii loaches. I dont know if I spelled that right. Because if they will I am going to buy me some of them..

Thanks for all the good compliments

I was also thinking about some Kuhli Loaches. I think they would be fine with the yoyo's. Most loaches species get along well. There are some that very aggressive tho, like the tiger loach and the red tail loach..

But I think im going to get some Porthole Catfish instead of the Kuhli Loaches for the time being...

recently I built them a series of caves right against the glass, so that I could see them sleep and tonight is the first night they have used it to sleep. I knew they like to sleep on their sides and backs, but actually seeing all 4 of them in a little cave all piled up freaked me out! It was still really cool to see. They still get startled when they see my walk up to the tank, but they are starting to settle in nicely. Ive had them for about a month now
