pictis catfish, what can you tell me about them

I am looking for a medium sized catfish to enter my 35. I saw some of these at the store and since I dont trust them anymore I will ask the forum. How big, tankmates, etc...?

Probly not the greatest choice. They get to 6" and eat small fish. U need a group of at least 3 so in a 35 that would be most of yur stocking. Pictus's are cool and active though

A synodontis Ocellifer would maybe work. They get to about 5" even though most places have 4".. U only need 1 but these guys have big mouths too so no small tankmates

I would go for something like a small group of proper upside-down synos (not the giant version), or possibly something like some porthole catfish.

Other things to consider for a 35 is maybe a small plec like a bristlenose, rubbernose or clown plec?

Just remember to research whatever catfish you are interested thoroughly first as a lot of cats get bigger than you'd expect.
