Hi, just an update on my two tanks :) In picture format - points to the person who can identify my new catfish :)

This is the 240 at the moment - its getting bigger in a few months which will time nicely with the growth rates of the Geos I reckon :)

And here are some pics of my catfish :) I have named him Bumble - I am fully aware of what he is but lets see if anyone can guess what he is and what kind of care he will need in the future :) Had him about 6 weeks now and he has just finally started to eat properly!! I am over the moon as he is a great great looking fish :D

This is the 35 nano which will also get bigger in the next few months - again heavy stock at present but doing well with my regime again its going to get bigger with bigger schools sitting really close to the other tank and should be a nice contrast when its all done :)

Wills your tanks and fish are stunning mate :good:

As for the cat, not got a clue. The Maidenhead I go to has a huge display tank with a very similar looking fish and it's about 2 foot long.

That 240 is amazing to say the very least!

Very jealous!! :good:

Where do you get your wood from?

Very impressed, love your fish.
Is your catfish a close member of the shark family?

Keith.

Is your catfish a "Pangasius", Diet=It's omnivorous, but is primarily a meat-eater. In nature adults are known to be particularly fond of whole dog carcasses!

Stunning. the Geos have really coloured up. Was i right with the ID i gave you to start with? To me it still looks like that but i dont want to give it away.

thanks guys :)

The catfish is actually Ageneiosus cf. atronasus - though it was labeled as Ageneiosus sp. Blue so not 100% but I am going to guess about 5 inches at adult size so he has probs got a bit of growing left to do :) About 3 inches now but starting to get nice and fat. I love him because he looks a bit like a Gulper Catfish and will do more so when he starts to get fat which is one of my favorite fish but I will never realistically be able to house one so this is a great second hence why I gave him the name I wanted for a Gulper which is Bumble :)

Euston - the wood was a lucky find on Aquarist Classifieids a guy not far from my house was closing a 7 foot discus tank down and I got about 10 large pieces of twisty wood for £40!! The rest are just odd bits I have got from a few shops, usually when I get fish its after pay day so I get a big group at once and usually fish shop owners will give you a ton of free stuff once the bill starts to hit £100

Thanks again guys :)

very much like both of these.

smaller tank doesn't look overstoked. What have you got in there? Celestial pearls and some kind of killi?

Thanks :)

the 35 has

2 Tiger Badis
5 Galaxies
6 Rosy Loaches
3 Horned Nerite Snails

pretty heavy IMO but they are all tiny at the moment no where near even half an inch in most cases no water quality issues though really :/
