My goby again

Ignore the pink background, my tank is in my moms utility room which is pink :D ........as you can see its a plain, artificial looking tank :/

What are the deminsions of that tank?
And either way, you're probably aware your dragon goby will outgrow it :/

Anywho, looking good for a start. Your substrate matches your fish, but it's really hard to find brackish plants. Since gobys live in salt, plants are hard to find....

Those are so creepy... I don't even like looking at the pics.. haha.. very prehistoric..

Not sure what I would do with the tank.. are they nocturnal? Maybe some caves? I dont know!

ya i know, do you know how when i am suppose to get it? like what length?

heh, im wanting a bigger tank and salamanders, good thing petco is having a sale, but still i dont think my mom will let me have either one :D

intresting article, i actually saw one of those species of plants at petco

I'm saying that dragon gobies can get to 2 feet long o_O
oh yeah. They like slate/rocks to hide under. They love to hide. Hiding is good. I leave pathways through all my plants big enough to let him feel comfy, yet like he's hiding. and things for him to hide/wrap around

I haven't made him brackish yet, as he was originally in fresh. Petsmart... evill.....

And i don't know if i will. He's inredible. Brilliant gold sheen. He has more salt at 1 tbsp per 5 gallons, than he did in petsmart... so i dunno...

but they usually get 9-12 inches long, no always basically. umm what is more urgent getting a bigger tank for a 5 1/2 inch pleco or getting a bigger tank for an 8 inch goby? the goby is in a 40 gallon and the pleco is in a 10 gallon with a dojo loach. wut size? if i get a bigger one for my goby, ill put my pleco in the 40 gallon and a salamander in the 10 :D

Common plecs can grow quite large.. I don't know how big exactly, but over a foot...

I don't know how fast gobys grow, but I'd get the pleco out of the 10g as soon as possible... stunting it will really mess it up for the rest of its life.

ya i know but he grows slow (so does the goby) but yes ill get him in a bigger tank say around 55G. and my salamanders will take his handme down. my goby will be fine in that 40 gallon tank.....unless he has a rapid growth spurt......by the way he will be forced to live outside :X

Hey you can eaisly monitor the growth and change the growth patterns by makeing sure not to do too many feedings or not too many large onez i dnt noe if u can du dat wit gobys but i du it wit my bala shark. lol one thing doesnt ur mom freak when she shes that thing!?!? my mom would be pouring cleaners in there yelling parasite after one glance. hey i think u shuld put a spotted puffer in wit ur goby if possible i noe i have 1 but by it self

wuts the deal wit people and puffers? haha just kidding i love puffers but hadent the time to get one. i will probably add one to my tank after i get the whole pleco thing settled out, and after i get my salamanders. :shifty: wut should i put in the 55g with the pleco and loach? a totally aquatic newt? :hey: im getting way ahead of myself, i dont even know if my dad will let me have all this stuff even if i pay...which i will. he would be killing an innocent pleco! :-(

Add rocks caves on one of the sides of the tank and then add some drift, bog, moepani wood on the open side...It will look nice.

i mean that the 55 gallon is to big for the house and utility rool. its going to have to be outside.
