So here is my tank. It is a 30g long version. I want to get the best and most natural look for my tank (besides the gravel). Any help or advice would be great. Maybe you could post some pic's of your aquarium in this topic as well to give others ideas that would be very helpful. also list some good products or web sites that have nice things to liven up your aquarium....

This is the view of my whole tank, and a glimpse at my Jewel

I am not having any luck including the pics of my tank... any tips? i used the add image button...

EDIT: okay figured it out, my album name at photobucket contained a word the forums do not like, oops...

Definitely more plants. And I personally would move one of the rocks into a corner more, it likes very formally arranged when they are right next to each other and everything is spaced out evenly.

Thatfishplace.com It's in PA, but they do ship, and they're supposed to be the worlds largest pet store. Lord knows they ruined other places for me lol.

Woah shocking gravel! I'm not keen on that background, it's too busy. Change it to black? Your are brave keeping a jewel with a convict. I had a juwel once but he was crazy and attacked anything with fins!

The gravel does not match the background, one or the other must go... o and try to pick one or the other of the colored gravels, the two don't look too appealing together.... but it is your tank so if you like and your fish are happy then who cares :good:

EDIT: Spelling

I think anything natural would clash seriously with that gravel and look pretty awful. If it were me, I'd take it out and start again with something a bit less disco lol.

The gravel really ain't meant to look like that lol, i just have not vacuumed my tank since i put it in and did not bother mixing it around knowing that i would be vacuuming in the next couple weeks, which would mix it up for me. I was thinking about going with the sandy, gravel look(light browns, maybe some blacks and grays?). How does everyone feel about using sand in their tanks? I would imagine it would be hard to not vacuume it up when maintenance of the tank is needed.. I also want to change my background, i am not to happy with the overall look of my tank. I want to provide enough shelter for my fish.

In order to change my gravel i would have to completly drain my tank, right? Im not really looking forward to that soooo.... IDK what i should do, also besides just scooping it out, is their any other more convienent ways of doing this?
