Hi Everyone!! Fred, my beautiful Betta, is a picky eater. I tried to feed him Bio gold and he wouldn't eat it. So I switched to HBH betta pellets, those he ate. Then I read that adding worms to vary his diet would be good for him. Anyway Fred LOVES the dried bloodworms. He likes them so much he doesn't want the pellets. He will eat them once he relizes thats all he is getting but he definatly prefers worms. My question is how often should I feed him worms versue pellets? I feed him twice a day, about 4 to 5 pellets or a small pinch of worms.

Thanks!!!!

:shout: I am still kinda new at being a betta "mom". I just want to do whats best for my baby.

be careful with freezedried bloodworms, freezedried foods can lead to constipation and swim bladder problems, and should only be fed as a snack once in awhile, not as a stable diet. Have you thought of trying frozen bloodworms?

Yes, the worms are dried, they come in the same kind of can that the pellets come in. What are the frozen worms? Do they cause the same problem (constipation) that the dried worms do? What else can I feed Fred that is good for him that he might like? I guess I need to lay off the dried worms no matter how hard he begs!

Thanks!

My Betta loves Frozen Bloodworm> you get it in a pack from Lfs (usually about 20 cubes of it)

>Keeps in freezer and you just defrost and put a bit in now and again as a treat.

Frozen Brineshrimp and Daphnia are also liked, by mine anyway.
