QUESTION:

RO water wise, do a lot of people with Nano's just drive to the LFS when they need to top up their tank or does it get annoying fast?

It gets annoying fast, also the quality of water from LFS isn't always great, I used to get mine from LFS but nitrates were high, and I just got so fed up going to get it, and my LFS is only 5 minutes away from me

Yes i can imagine it getting annoying. Will just have to try and get my head around the units and how best to plumb it in - im not too bad by stuff like plumbing isn’t my greatest skill!

Question:

Is there any benefit of using RO water with my tropical water changes?

no...it will not do your fish any good...it has no minerals in it

Fair point! So many of the rules are different with fresh and salty fish!

Would anyone sent the orca back and buy the second hand RSM - or is a new orca a better bet? Opinions anyone??
