Hi, scotslasszoe!

Hope it is ok if an oldtimer (40 years in the hobby) comes with some critisizm and give a few hints and tips!
At a first glance your tank looks estheticly nice with lots of plants and clear water! :good:

Although personally I think the sand is way too bright for a freshwater aquarium, darker sand looks much more natural and enhances the colors of the fish better!
Light colored sand is also more prone to attract algaegrowth.
About the plants, I always leave some open area in front and don't plant too close to the frontglass, because the plants will sooner or later obstruct the view, also better to have shorter plants in front and taller plants in the back.
I also prefer to have fewer plantspecies and plant the same species together in stands instead of just mixing them and spreading them around, looks more natural as well!
Another thing that many forget is to try and hide the filterpumps, heaters, thermometers and other apparatus as good as possible, don't want the tank to look like some mashinedump!
You are on the good way though :good:
...have seen much worse, some people doesn't even have sand in their tanks or fill them with plastic toys and artificial plants! :X :grr: :sly:
To make the fish as happy and healthy as possible it's our duty to keep the tanks as natural looking as possible!
Keep up the good work!
