i think the birdcage has probably been made watertight and just submersed and anchored down briefly just for the purpose of the photograph.

Makes an interesting pic though

I saw one several years ago, it was almost the same but they had an Iguana instead of birds. The fish than was shaped like an "U" and the Iggy was in a cube nested in between the upright of the U.

looks like the bird cage is behind the tank but the reflection on the gravel makes it kind of look like theres gravel on the bottom of the cage. good pic
