Photos Of Fish

I was just wondering if it's okay to use a flash when taking photos of my fish?? I don't want to blind them, but without a flash the pictures come out blurry.

Any thoughts?
 
Of course - the simple answer is just to cover the flash!! :rolleyes:

(As for the tripod, that's a top idea - I will look into that too.)

It all depends on the fish, silvery fish and those with reflective scales are better photographed without a flash using just the aquarium lighting in a darkened room, drab and dark coloured fish generally come out better when photographed with the flash on and the aquarium lights off.
