I have an algea problem in my tank, green water. I am ordering a phosphate test kit to see if that is part of the problem. What have other people used to get phosphate out of water? (please don't say water changes, I've tried daily 20-30% water changes for days in a row, the algea gets a LITTLE better, and then comes right back)

I use Rowaphos activated carbon, but you can buy it in sponge form too, just pop it into your filter and away you go ;)

Remember to check the phosphates in your tap water once your testing kit arrives, that could be the main problem :)

The reason water changes aren't doing anything for you is that you are just removing the phosphate by taking water out but then putting it straight back in when you put the freshwater in. An RO Unit would remove all of this but RowaPhos should do Okay.
