hi all,

today i was going to ask for help with my female bristlenose not eating but i have just found her having a good feed on cucumber.

i feed my fish when i eat so i can watch them eating but i have not seen my albino female eat for a couple of weeks now and was getting concerned.

my water stats are fine,my tank is 200lt,tank is approx 2yrs old and bristlenose is 4yr old.

over last few months my cory cats have laided many eggs so hopefully bristle has been living on those.

thanks all for your comments, from time to time she will skip food for a couple of days but never this long before, strange but glad she seams ok

My male BN is about 5, and is rarely see him eat, but I know he does. There was always a bit of algae before I got him, now there's no trace. He dug himself a cave under a rock and just stays there during the day. He only comes out at night and when he thinks no one can see him.

Glad she's eating :) May I suggest using zucchini/courgette instead of cucumber? It'd be more nutritious.

this bristle is very confident and is not bothered about the world outside the tank in any way,i have a large driftwood section which actually looks like a dead tree and its seams to be her tree and she will happily sit on the front of it full view.

from time to time she looks dead as you find her laying on the sand on her back as if she having a wicked dream, fallen off and just stayed there.scary and toke a while to get used to

i did try courgette ages ago and most turned there noses up at it,could give it another go i supose.

Lol Mine is like Eagles, I've had him for around 2 years and have never once seen him eat in fact I rarely ever see him at all
