My pH is constantly low at around 6.4. My fish dont seem bothered by it but i really want it raised to get the best out of them. Ive tried pH up and various other chemicals but they only raise it for a short period then it plummets back down. anything else i can try ??

IMHO it is far better to have a stable pH than a fluctuating one.
don't waste you cash on pH adjusters, just leave it alone.

What he said. Leave well alone. If your fish are fine, then leave them to it. I would never go messing with my Ph. I just don't have enough knowledge and I would urge most to leave the ph alone if the fish are ok. Most fish can adapt to most conditions within reason.
