My Ph usually hovers around 8.0 due to my tap water's horrific Alkalinity.

About a week ago, I installed a DYI CO2 system and it is working fine. Yesterday, I added two really nice pieces of Malaysian driftwood and some Java Moss. I also bought a piece of Cork Wood and covered it with moss....it just floats around and my Betta loves it.

In all, I have three patches of Micros Sword, 1 Large Sword, and Java Moss scattered about. 20 gallon tank with 4 Rasbora, 1 Neon, and 1 Male CT Betta.

However, I checked my stats last night and my Ph was down to 6.7-6.8. Should I be overly concerned or is this a normal thing?

Also, does CO2 have any affecto on Ph?

Thanks

the wood you added prolly was the main factor in the Ph drop, the CO2 may also have contributated once the tannins leech out your Ph should go back to close to normal but it may take awhile
