just lost 2 platys in 2 days

1st Female just had fry and died later same day

today

male found floating

all levels are fine other than the PH has gone down to 6.5 could this be the issue?

whats the best way to get the PH back up to 7?

did a 20% water change on Sunday

What's the pH of your tap water? Do you normally adjust it? If it is around the 7 mark, I would do a larger water change to get the tank levels back to normal.

A rapid swing in pH is not good for your fish, however I don't know if it would cause their immediate demise at the levels you stated.

Try the water change, it can't possibly hurt.

ph swings can be deadly, have you got a low kh(?!?) thats your ph buffer i.e. how hard or easy it is for ph to drop mine is increadibly high and so i cant change mine from the 7.4 but its at a good level
